Meet The Builder

Stuart grew up in Ooltewah, TN, and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his career as an engineer at TVA while in school. After 6 years, he knew that his heart was not for engineering but for construction. Shortly after marrying his wife Bailey, he decided to pursue his dream of building his personal home as a builder. He quickly fell in love with the building process and started building homes as a side job. Shortly after, with the encouragement of his wife, Lighthouse Construction was born. The name “LightHouse” originated from Stuart’s Christian faith. Christians are called to live out their faith authentically throughout every aspect of their lives “Shining the Light of Jesus Christ”, loving God and loving others in everything that they do. The name “Lighthouse” was a constant reminder for Stuart to stay true to his faith in every aspect of his life including his business. Now he serves as Owner and President of Lighthouse Construction full-time. He is also an active member of C12, an organization that equips Christian business owners to use their business as a ministry to others. When he isn’t building homes, flipping houses, or looking at land, he enjoys hanging out with his wife and kids, hunting with his friends, and traveling the world.
